Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Last updated: August 2026
At Amarii, our jewellery is created with care and, in many cases, made specifically for you.
Because our jewellery is custom-made, made-to-order and may incorporate an individually selected diamond, we have a different approach to returns and exchanges from a conventional jewellery or fashion retailer.
This policy applies to purchases made through Amarii within Australia.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
1. Change-of-Mind Returns
Amarii does not offer change-of-mind returns, refunds, credits or exchanges.
Because our jewellery is made to order and may be individually customised for each customer, we are unable to accept completed pieces back simply because a customer has changed their mind.
Change-of-mind circumstances include, but are not limited to:
- You no longer want the jewellery
- You have changed your mind about the design
- You prefer a different style
- You prefer a different diamond
- You prefer a different metal
- You have ordered the wrong ring size
- You have found another product you prefer
- You have found the product cheaper elsewhere; or
- You no longer have a need for the jewellery
This policy applies regardless of whether the jewellery has been worn, provided the jewellery does not have a fault or other issue covered by Australian Consumer Law.
This policy does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
2. Custom and Made-to-Order Jewellery
Many Amarii pieces are created specifically for individual customers.
This may include:
- Engagement rings
- Wedding rings
- Rings made to a specific size
- Individually selected diamonds
- Bespoke designs
- Personalised jewellery
- Engraved jewellery
- Custom dimensions
- Custom metal selections; and
- Other customer-specific modifications
Because these pieces are created specifically for you, we cannot offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges once an order has been accepted for production.
Before production begins, we encourage you to carefully review all order details, including:
- Diamond selection
- Diamond specifications
- Ring size
- Metal
- Design
- Engraving
- Personalisation; and
- Any other custom requirements
Where we provide an order confirmation, design or other information for approval, you are responsible for checking the details carefully before confirming your order.
3. Cancelling an Order
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact Amarii as soon as possible.
Before production begins
If production has not yet commenced, we will assess whether cancellation is possible.
For a standard item that has not entered production, cancellation may be possible.
For a made-to-order or bespoke item, cancellation may not be possible where Amarii has already:
- Secured a diamond specifically for your order
- Purchased or allocated materials specifically for your order
- Commenced manufacturing
- Commenced engraving or personalisation; or
- Incurred other irreversible costs specifically relating to your order
Where cancellation is possible, we will advise you of any applicable costs before processing the cancellation.
Once production has commenced
Once production has commenced, made-to-order, bespoke and personalised jewellery cannot generally be cancelled for change of mind.
This is because the jewellery has been created specifically for you and may not be reasonably capable of being resold.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
4. Diamond Selection and Changes
Where you select an individual diamond for your jewellery, that diamond may be specifically allocated or secured for your order.
Once a diamond has been confirmed and committed to your order, changes may not be possible.
If you wish to change your diamond selection before production begins, please contact Amarii as soon as possible.
We will consider the request based on the stage of your order and availability of the replacement diamond.
Any difference in price or costs already incurred may apply.
Once production has commenced, changes to the selected diamond will generally not be possible.
5. Ring Sizing
We understand that selecting the correct ring size can be difficult, particularly when purchasing an engagement ring as a surprise.
To provide additional reassurance, every Amarii ring includes one complimentary resize within six months of the purchase date shown on your receipt, subject to the conditions below.
The complimentary resize allows the ring to be adjusted by up to two Australian ring sizes up or down from the original size.
Complimentary resizing conditions
The complimentary resize:
- Is available once per ring
- Must be requested within six months of the purchase date shown on your receipt
- Is limited to two Australian sizes up or down
- Is subject to the design being suitable for resizing
- Is subject to the condition of the ring; and
- Must not compromise the structural integrity or design of the jewellery
Full eternity rings, where stones are set around the entire band, cannot be resized. Half eternity rings can usually be resized, because the plain metal at the back of the band allows adjustment.
Some other designs may have limited resizing capability. This may include certain:
- Pavé and shared claw settings
- Intricate designs; and
- Delicate designs
Where a ring cannot safely be resized to the requested size, Amarii will discuss the available options with you.
6. Shipping for Resizing
The complimentary resize covers the eligible resizing service.
Once your complimentary resize has been approved, Amarii will provide you with specific return instructions and the appropriate delivery details. Please do not send your jewellery to any address unless it has been provided to you by Amarii for your return.
The customer is responsible for the cost of securely sending the ring to the nominated Amarii return location and for return shipping following completion of the resize.
We recommend using the shipping method specified by Amarii and retaining your tracking information until your ring has been received and returned to you.
Any additional work required outside the complimentary resize may incur a fee. We will advise you of any applicable costs and obtain your approval before undertaking additional chargeable work.
7. Resizing After Six Months
After the six-month complimentary resizing period, resizing may still be available depending on the design and condition of the jewellery.
A resizing fee may apply.
The cost will depend on factors including:
- Ring design
- Metal type
- Amount of adjustment required
- Number and position of gemstones
- Structural considerations; and
- Additional work required
A quotation will be provided before chargeable resizing work is undertaken.
8. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Jewellery
If you believe your jewellery:
- Has a manufacturing defect
- Is significantly different from what you ordered
- Does not match its description
- Is not of acceptable quality; or
- Otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee,
please contact Amarii as soon as possible.
We will assess the issue and determine the appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Depending on the circumstances and whether the problem is major or minor, the appropriate remedy may include:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Refund
- Cancellation; or
- Another appropriate remedy
Australian Consumer Law provides automatic consumer guarantees for products purchased from Australian online businesses.
9. Manufacturing Defects
Where a jewellery issue appears to result from a manufacturing defect, it may also fall within the Amarii Lifetime Warranty.
The Lifetime Warranty provides additional protection against genuine manufacturing defects.
If you believe your jewellery has developed a manufacturing defect, please contact Amarii before arranging repairs with another jeweller.
Please refer to the Amarii Lifetime Warranty™ for full details.
10. Diamonds and Gemstones
If a diamond or gemstone becomes loose, damaged or is lost, please contact Amarii before arranging any repairs or replacement.
We will assess the circumstances to determine the likely cause.
Where the loss or damage is reasonably determined to have resulted from a manufacturing defect in the setting or workmanship, the matter may be covered by the Amarii Lifetime Warranty.
Where the loss or damage results from accidental impact, misuse, neglect, inappropriate care, normal wear or another circumstance unrelated to a manufacturing defect, it will generally not be covered by our voluntary Lifetime Warranty.
Please refer to the Amarii Lifetime Warranty™ for further information.
11. Damage After Delivery
If jewellery is damaged after delivery, please contact Amarii so we can assess the circumstances.
Damage caused by accidental impact, misuse, inappropriate care or other circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing defect will generally not qualify for a change-of-mind refund or replacement.
Where appropriate, Amarii may be able to offer a paid repair or restoration service.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
12. Returns Process
If you believe you have a valid reason for returning your jewellery, please contact Amarii before sending the item back.
Please provide:
- Your name
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Photographs or video where relevant; and
- Any other information reasonably required to assess the matter
We will provide return instructions where a return is appropriate.
Please do not send jewellery to Amarii without first contacting us and receiving return instructions.
13. Assessment of Returned Jewellery
Where a return is required for assessment, Amarii may inspect the jewellery to determine:
- Whether a manufacturing defect exists
- Whether the jewellery matches the original order
- Whether the jewellery has been altered or modified
- Whether damage has occurred after delivery
- The likely cause of any damage; and
- The appropriate remedy
Where necessary, we may obtain an assessment from an appropriately qualified jeweller or specialist.
This assessment process does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
14. Condition of Returned Jewellery
Where a return is being made for an eligible reason, please return the jewellery in a condition that allows us to assess it safely.
Where reasonably available, please include:
- Original packaging
- Diamond certificate or grading report
- Order documentation; and
- Any other relevant documentation
However, we will not refuse a valid Australian Consumer Law claim solely because original packaging or documentation is unavailable.
15. Refunds
Where a refund is required under Australian Consumer Law, Amarii will provide the applicable remedy in accordance with the law.
The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances of the problem.
For a major failure, the consumer may generally be entitled to reject the goods and choose a refund or replacement, subject to the applicable legal requirements.
For a minor failure, Amarii will generally have the opportunity to repair the jewellery within a reasonable time.
For change-of-mind purchases, no refund is provided.
16. Exchanges
Amarii does not offer exchanges for change of mind.
Because our jewellery is made to order and may be customised specifically for each customer, we are unable to exchange a completed piece for:
- Another design
- Another diamond
- Another metal
- Another style; or
- Another size
simply because you have changed your mind.
If the issue relates to an incorrect ring size, please refer to our Ring Sizing section.
If the jewellery has a fault or fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, we will assess the matter and provide the remedy required by law.
17. Sale and Promotional Items
Sale and promotional items remain subject to Australian Consumer Law.
A reduced price does not remove or reduce your statutory consumer rights.
Unless otherwise stated, sale and promotional items are also subject to Amarii's no change-of-mind returns and exchanges policy.
18. Gift Purchases
If an Amarii piece is purchased as a gift, our change-of-mind policy remains applicable.
Where a gift recipient identifies a fault or other issue covered by Australian Consumer Law, they may contact Amarii and we will assess the matter in accordance with applicable law.
19. Jewellery Purchased Through Unauthorised Sellers
Our returns, refunds and exchange policy applies to jewellery purchased directly from Amarii.
If an Amarii product has been purchased through another retailer, marketplace or unauthorised seller, any applicable return or refund request should generally be directed to the seller from whom the purchase was made.
The Amarii Lifetime Warranty may apply separately, subject to its terms.
20. Australian Consumer Law
Amarii complies with the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this policy is intended to:
- Exclude your consumer guarantee rights
- Restrict a remedy available to you under Australian law
- Suggest that Amarii has no obligations where a product has a problem; or
- Prevent you from exercising any rights available to you under applicable law
Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with automatic guarantees when they purchase goods from Australian businesses, including online businesses.
Where a product fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, the remedy available will depend on the nature and seriousness of the problem.
If there is any inconsistency between this policy and a mandatory requirement of Australian law, the applicable law will prevail.
