Crafting Timeframes
The short answer
How long does an Amarii ring take to make, and when will I receive it?
An Amarii ring is made to order in 3 to 4 weeks from the day you approve your CAD design. That covers casting, stone setting, finishing and your final approval. Your diamond video arrives within 24 hours of your order, before the CAD stage. Delivery time is additional.
When does the 3 to 4 week timeframe begin?
The 3 to 4 week timeframe begins when you approve your CAD design.
Two things happen before that. Within 24 hours of your order, we send you a video of your actual diamond, with its IGI report for centre stones of one carat and above, and you approve the stone. We then prepare the CAD design of your ring for you to review.
How quickly you approve each step is up to you. The clock starts once the CAD is approved.
What happens during the 3 to 4 weeks?
The 3 to 4 weeks covers the physical making of your ring.
01. Casting
The approved design is used to create the physical metal structure of the ring.
02. Stone setting
The centre stone and any additional diamonds or gemstones are placed into their settings.
03. Finishing
The metal is refined, the surfaces are finished and the completed ring is checked.
04. Your final approval
We send you photos and a video of your finished ring to approve before it ships.
These stages make up the core Amarii crafting timeframe.
Does the 3 to 4 weeks include delivery?
No. The 3 to 4 week timeframe covers crafting and does not include delivery.
Once your ring has completed production, it is prepared for delivery. The delivery timeframe depends on the destination and the delivery service used.
This means your total time from order to receiving your ring includes both crafting and delivery.
Can my ring take longer than 4 weeks?
Some designs may require additional production time.
The 3 to 4 week timeframe is the standard Amarii crafting timeframe. More complex designs, specific stone requirements or changes made during the design process can affect the production schedule.
Your confirmed timeframe is the one that applies to your individual order.
When should I order my engagement ring?
Order your ring at least 3 to 4 weeks before you need it, plus a few days for your diamond and CAD approvals and additional time for delivery.
For an important date such as a proposal, anniversary or celebration, allowing extra time provides a buffer beyond the standard crafting timeframe.
The earlier you order, the more time there is to accommodate delivery and any unexpected production requirements.
Can I make changes after production begins?
Changes after production begins may affect the timeframe.
Your design is confirmed before production so the CAD, casting, setting and finishing stages can proceed from an agreed specification.
A change after approval may require part of the process to be revised or repeated. This can add time to the original timeframe.
How do I know when my ring is ready?
Your ring is ready once the crafting process has been completed and the finished piece has been checked.
We then send you photos and a video of the finished ring. Once you approve them, it is prepared for delivery.
Your delivery then becomes the final part of the journey from order to receiving your Amarii ring.
