Bracelet Length Guide
The short answer
How do you choose your bracelet length?
Measure around your wrist bone, then add about 1.5cm (half an inch) for a comfortable fit. Amarii bracelets come in six lengths from 5.5" to 8", and every length is the same price. Most wrists suit a 6.5" or 7" bracelet.
What lengths are available?
Find your wrist measurement in the first column and choose the bracelet length beside it. The fit column assumes the comfortable allowance of about 1.5cm.
| Wrist measurement | Bracelet length | In centimetres |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 12.5cm | 5.5" | 14cm |
| 12.5cm to 13.7cm | 6" | 15.2cm |
| 13.7cm to 15cm | 6.5" | 16.5cm |
| 15cm to 16.3cm | 7" | 17.8cm |
| 16.3cm to 17.6cm | 7.5" | 19.1cm |
| 17.6cm and over | 8" | 20.3cm |
How do you measure your wrist?
01
Use a soft tape measure
Wrap a soft tape around your wrist just above the wrist bone, where a bracelet naturally sits. Keep it snug but not tight and read the measurement in centimetres.
02
Or use a strip of paper
Wrap a strip of paper around the same spot, mark where it overlaps, then lay it flat and measure it with a ruler. Do not use string, which stretches and reads larger than your wrist.
03
Add your allowance
Add about 1.5cm for a comfortable fit that moves a little on the wrist. For a closer fit add about 1cm, and for a looser, relaxed drape add about 2.5cm.
Can you measure a bracelet you already own?
Yes. Open the clasp, lay the bracelet flat in a straight line and measure it end to end, clasp included. If it fits the way you like, choose the nearest length from the table.
How should a tennis bracelet fit?
A tennis bracelet looks its best with a little movement, so the stones catch the light as your wrist turns. Too tight and it will not sit flat; too loose and it can slide over the hand. A comfortable fit, with about 1.5cm of allowance, is the right choice for most people.
What if you are between two lengths?
Choose the longer length if you like a relaxed drape or wear a watch on the same wrist, and the shorter length if you prefer a close fit. Every length is the same price, so choose the one that suits you. If you would like help, book a video consultation and we will talk it through with you before you order.
